In October 2005, Dr. Cheshire and Meredith Murdock Cheshire RA, MC started their practice in The Villages, FL. They named their company Mulberry Oriental Medicine and focused on Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs.
As their practice grew, they realized that there were many facets of healthcare missing in The Villages. Patients started asking about different ways to conquer pain and different, more natural ways to take care of themselves. They started to search for other practitioners in the area that would follow their lead and mission: “Give the patient the best healthcare and education so when they leave our offices, they are empowered with good health and knowledge.”
In 2008, Mulberry Oriental Medicine moved to Lake Sumter Landing in The Villages. In 2009, we changed the name to Mulberry Integrative Medicine to reflect more of what the company actually promotes and practices.
The Physicians at Mulberry Integrative believe that there is a place for what can be called Western Medicine and that there is a place for Eastern medicine. The ultimate goal is to achieve balance for each individual patient in that paradigm. While all the physicians have protocols they start with for every patient, these protocols change with the needs of the patient.
No patient is the same and therefore no protocol is the same for every patient.

At Mulberry Integrative Medicine, Our Practitioners are highly skilled experts in their field and each has over 20 years of experience. They believe strongly in patient-focused treatment and strive to make each treatment unique to you and your specific needs. Dr. Cheshire, Dr. Destina, and our staff love what we do.
